Newark Showground

We have featured this venue quite a bit over the last couple of years and we are delighted to say it is back to a full calendar. Arguably Newark’s premier landmark. Visit their website for a full programme of events.

Newark Castle

This features heavily in a recent video by Gimbal Walk TV.  When it was posted in the Autumn, the beautiful autumnal colours added to this fabulous landmark. Worth a visit all year round with lovely parks close by.

National Civil War Centre

Newark Air Museum

Located close to the Showground it is open 7 days a week from 10am to 4pm. Many great planes to see, but due to Covid many cockpits are closed so check the website before you visit.

Newark Market

Open most days with Tuesday’s and Sunday’s being the exception. Traditional retail markets are Wednesday, Friday and Saturday with Collectors’ markets on Monday and Thursday. Always worth a visit and take in the town centre while you’re there.
