Newark Showground
We have featured this venue quite a bit over the last couple of years and we are delighted to say it is back to a full calendar. Arguably Newark’s premier landmark. Visit their website for a full programme of events.

Newark Castle
This features heavily in a recent video by Gimbal Walk TV. When it was posted in the Autumn, the beautiful autumnal colours added to this fabulous landmark. Worth a visit all year round with lovely parks close by.

National Civil War Centre
This tells the story of the brutal conflict the tore a nation apart and is very much worth a visit. Check out their Facebook page for visitor information as tends to be open only a few days a week.

Newark Air Museum
Located close to the Showground it is open 7 days a week from 10am to 4pm. Many great planes to see, but due to Covid many cockpits are closed so check the website before you visit.

Newark Market
Open most days with Tuesday’s and Sunday’s being the exception. Traditional retail markets are Wednesday, Friday and Saturday with Collectors’ markets on Monday and Thursday. Always worth a visit and take in the town centre while you’re there.

Sundown Adventureland Theme Park
This award winning theme park is a must visit if you have younger children. Check out the website for admission prices and ticket availability.

The Newark Treasure Trail
A great way to discover Newark and its landmarks, prices from £10 the trail is approximately 1.2 miles and takes around 2 hours, check the website for more information.

Go-Karting
